![]() precise shot, deadly aim (spellslinger 1/eldritch archer 5). The ability to freely apply intensify spell or rime spell to it can be either a solid damage booster in the mid levels or a decent debuff.Īs for a spell cartridge build, if your GM does allow a minimum 1d4 base damage, then the feat progression could look something like arcane strike, spell cartridge, point blank shot. I'd also suggest considering wayang spellhunter for your second trait, preferably for snowball. That extra feat at level 1 can be very handy. Regardless of what you do (even if you don't go spell cartridges), I'd suggest human for race. Benefits: your attacks deal force damage and thus bypass all DR innately, you don't need a one-handed firarm+paper cartridges for free action reloading (since you don't need to reload), which frees up your weapon choice and results in a lower misfire range (very handy since you don't have quick clear). It also eats your swift action every turn that you want to attack on, which isn't ideal as a magus. Downsides: by pure RAW it has a base damage of zero until you hit CL 5, so unless you GM house rules in a minimum base damage of 1d4 (which is pretty reasonable imo) It's useless until level 5. I'd suggest considering the spell cartridge feat. Not considering deadly aim because I don't know if the character can afford another -2 to attack.Įdit: Forgot to account point blank in damageĮdit 2: Made clearer swift actions on different turns If you cast scorching ray alongside the attack, it is 28d6+30 for a full attack action. So in second turn, you will be dishing out 1d6 (base damage) +3 (weapon enhancement) +2 (magus enhancement) +1d6 shock +1d6 flame +1d6 frost (enchantments from mage bullets) +1 point blank= 4d6+6 every attack Also consider that you can craft a good weapon at creation price because of magus arcane bond. And all those attacks will have the enchantments of Mage bullets (first turn swift action) and Arcane pool (Second turn swift action). In a full attack, it will get 2 attacks + 1 rapid shot + 1 free attack ranged spellstrike +1 if haste = 5 attacks per turn (too bad you can't get manyshot with guns :/ ) All those attacks are made with -4 because of rapid shot and ranged spellstrike but they are against touch AC. So, I'm aiming at level 9 where the build comes to full potential. Traits: Magical Knack (to counter lost CL on level 1), Reactionary, maybe student of philosophyįeats: Point-Blank Shot (level 1), Precise Shot (level 3), Rapid Reload: Pistol (level 5), Rapid-Shot (Level 7), Deadly aim? Or clustered shots (Level 9) Gunsmithing, Mage Bullets, School of the gunĮldritch Archer: Arcane Pool, Ranged Weapon Bond, Ranged Spell combat, Ranged spellstrike If revolver is available, maybe ditch rapid reload) Gun: Pistol (Revolver if advanced fireams available. Spellslinger: Arcane Gun (Exotic weapon proficiency: firearms). Spellslinger Wizard 1 / Eldritch Archer 8 Still don't know the stats but I think will go everything in dex then int. Probably we will have almost every race available with 15 point buy. Was looking for mashing Spellslinger wizard with Eldritch archer and I am in need of ideas for how turning this character more cooler. ![]() The GM told us he will probably start a new table soon, from scratch and I want to try a new concept. ![]() So, I was playing kingmaker with a cool table but the adventure is probably going to end since 2 players can't play anymore.
